Position Announcement: of Editor-Select for the Western Journal of Communication (WJOC)

The Western States Communication Association Publications Committee is searching for candidates for the position of Editor-Select for the Western Journal of Communication (WJOC). As indicated on the WJOC website, “The journal is dedicated to the publication of original scholarship that enhances our understanding of human communication. Diverse theoretical and methodological perspectives are welcome.”

 

The incoming editor will be responsible for WJOC volumes 88 - 90 in 2024 - 2026, but will likely begin processing manuscripts near the end of 2022/beginning of 2023. WJOC publishes 5 times per year. WSCA provides monetary support for this position. Please contact the WSCA publications committee chair to discuss WSCA support in more detail.

 

Nominations should be directed to the chair of the WSCA Publications Committee, LeiLani Nishime, at nishime@uw.edu by October 15th, 2020. All nominations must be supported by the following:

 

1.        a letter indicating willingness to serve from the nominee, including a statement of proposed plans and editorial vision

2.         a current vita

3.        a letter from the nominee’s departmental chair or other administrator describing adequate institutional support

4.        names and email addresses of references who could speak to the nominees qualifications as an editor
