Western Forensics and Argumentation Association (WFAA) Expands Call to Include Performances and Position Papers

For the 2021 conference in Irvine, the WFAA interest group is expanding its call with an eye toward both more collaboration with, and participation by, the vast community of two-year institutions in Southern California and to welcome less conventional forms of argumentation and forensics scholarship. In addition to seeking “Research in Progress” submissions as part of the call for competitive papers, as well as traditional panel submissions, WFAA has added a third category of submissions being sought for the conference: forensics performances & position papers.

Interested scholars are encouraged to submit forensics performances or positions papers to WFAA for competitive selection. Forensics positions papers may address a wide-range of issues related to forensics, including forensics pedagogy and practice, examinations of forensics organizations and culture, and/or performance panels that highlight the intellectual richness of competitive forensics.

Submissions should not include information that identifies the authors/performers. Papers should not exceed 10 pages in length and performances should not exceed 10 minutes each.

Forensics performances & paper submissions must be submitted using the Attendee Interactive system accessible via no later than than midnight PST on Tuesday, September 1, 2020.
