BRIAN OTT TO BE THE
NEXT EDITOR OF WJC I'm pleased to announce that the WSCA Executive Council has accepted the recommendation of its Publications Committee to elect Dr. Brian Ott, Colorado State University, as the next Editor of the Western Journal of Communication. Brian is an associate professor of speech communication at Colorado State. He received his bachelor's degree in speech communication from George Mason University and his master's and doctoral degrees in speech communication from Penn State University. His teaching and research focus on critical media studies, television studies, and the rhetoric of public memorials. He has published one book, has four more under contract, and numerous journal articles and book chapters. The WSCA Executive Council was unanimous in its endorsement of Brian's candidacy for the WJC editorship, and I am certain that he will prove to be another in a fine string of WJC editors. Thank you again to the Publications Committee for your work to ensure that we have another strong editor for WJC. |
