ORWAC CALLS FOR PAPERS AND PROGRAM PROPOSALS

by

Tracey Owens Patton, program planner

The Organization for Research on Women and Communication (ORWAC) invites submissions for program proposals and competitive papers for the Western States Communication Association conference, held in Seattle, WA February 16-20, 2007, that speak to the conference theme, "Promoting Social Justice Through Our Work." Because of the increasingly diverse nature of our discipline, we encourage submissions and panels that embrace the idea of dialogue and are reflective of increasing the
dialogue(s) among feminist scholars and those that are interested in
women and research from a variety of communication fields and perspectives. Please visit the WSCA website as www.westcomm.org for specific submission guidelines. Please note that ORWAC is now only accepting panel proposals and competitive papers electronically. They should be sent directly to: Tracey Owens Patton, Department of Communication & Journalism, The University of Wyoming, topatton@uwyo.edu , (307) 766-3857 (office).  Submissions must be received no later than Thursday September 1, 2006.
