New Editor for WSCA News

The WSCA Legislative Assembly has named Bill Eadie, San Diego State University, to fill the remainder of Blaine Goss’ term as Editor of WSCA News.

Eadie is Professor of Communication at San Diego State. He has extensive experience as an editor, having served as the first editor of The Journal of Applied Communication Research after it was acquired by the National Communication Association (NCA). He also served as Managing Editor of CRTNET News, NCA’s daily email news and discussion service.

Eadie has also held a number of positions in WSCA, including Chair of the Interpersonal Communication Interest Group, member at-large of the Legislative Assembly, at-large member of the Executive Council, Second Vice-President, President, and President of the Executives Club.

Eadie has stated that he wants WSCA News to appear more frequently than the three times a year it does currently. He intends to make it an all-electronic publication, which means that the space limitations of a printed newsletter no longer apply. He is therefore interested in running a variety of announcements of interest to WSCA members, including conference and other calls, and news of individual WSCA members.
