The Western States Communication Association is pleased to partner with Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara, California for the 2018 Convention. This luxury hotel is features modern guestrooms and suites, new dining experiences at TusCA, Evolution, and Truya Sushi, and a heated saline pool and whirlpool.
While we realize that savvy travelers may search online in hopes of a better hotel rate, it is very important that our attendees register for their hotel rooms in advance through WSCA and stay at the conference hotel. This is because our contractual agreement guarantees that our attendees will take up a portion of the sleeping rooms and in return, the hotel provides conference meeting rooms at no charge. If we do not use the agreed upon portion of the sleeping rooms, the association will have to pay an additional costly fee.
The convention dates are from February 16 through February 19, 2018. The Pre-convention Workshops, Undergraduate Scholars Research Conference, and Convention Kick Off are held Friday, February 16. Conference panels and presentations are Saturday, February 17 through Monday February 19. The sock hop is Saturday, February 17. The awards luncheon will be held Sunday, February 18. The conference concludes Monday, February 19th at noon.
