The Undergraduate Scholars Research conference was held on February 18, 2017. Once again our undergraduate scholars displayed their enthusiasm, engagement, and exploration of the communication studies discipline with a broad range of panels.
We are proud to announce the top USRC papers for 2017.
First Place: Lorain Rice, San Diego State University, “‘I Just Want to Smile Like Everyone Else’: Patients’ Narratives of Dental Health, Communication, and Identity.”
Second Place: Tyler J. Read, Northwest Nazarene University, “The Relationship Between Nonverbal Mirroring and Reciprocal Self-Disclosure.”
Third Place: Haley Pasquariello, University of Colorado, Denver, “Communication Strategies Used by Individuals in Multicultural Families to Negotiate Differences.”
