WSCA has filled the contracted room block at the Bahia Hotel and Resort. While they do have a few rooms left, they are not offered at the negotiated WSCA rate. You are welcomed to use the link provided on the WSCA website to reserve a room at the Bahia at regular rates. In fact, they may have the negotiated rate on Friday and Monday nights and then regular rates on Saturday and Sunday nights, but you will have to see for yourself.

As an alternative option, the Bahia and WSCA are now working with The Dana at Mission Bay as an overflow hotel. The Dana is honoring the $169/night rate. According to an online map service, The Dana is about 1 mile away from the Bahia: a 5 minute car ride or a 25 minute walk. Limited shuttle service will be available and WSCA officers are determining the best, peak times to request the shuttle between the hotels. The Dana has agreed to waive parking and resort fees; however, the resort fee will show up on the  reservation and will be removed upon check in.

You are certainly welcomed to check Expedia or other online hotel booking service to see if they offer a better price than the standard one at the Bahia; however, they are contracted to not offer a better price than what WSCA has contracted.

To book your room with the Bahia or The Dana, please scroll to the bottom of the Hotel Information and Reservation page on the WSCA website at: http://www.westcomm.org/?page=HotelInfo and click on the appropriate link (one is provided for each hotel).

Also note, there is still room to participate in the workshops, the brewery tour, the golf event, and the bike ride. Please register for them through the WSCA Store. However, if you want to add a workshop, you will need to contact me directly. The t-shirt is available on the website until February 1st. Because of popular demand, it is now black instead of white.

See you in San Diego!
